Links to the brands we stock… (please note; each link opens up a new page in your web browser. This means that this site will remain open in the background whilst you explore the other sites listed here.)

At Dorchester Cycles we stock two main brands, TREK and GIANT.
And we stock them in depth. These two companies totally dominate the western world's global bike market – make no mistake all the other ‘leading’ brands are playing catch up!

What Trek and Giant do one year will appear as ‘new’ from other manufacturers next year!

TREK
www.trekbikes.co.uk
Fabulous industry-standard site with links to their global sites too.
Why can’t all web sites be this good…

GIANT
www.giant-bicycles.com
Good site but a little flat after the above!
Full details of the 2011 range now on there – and the mainstream bikes will all be massive sellers as usual.

BROMPTON
We also stock most of the Brompton range of folding bikes – take a look at their site on www.bromptonbicycle.co.uk.
Their site seems a little quirky to say the least – all the info is there, except on the new titanium models where they ask you to go to your dealers. Presumably because they can’t explain their logic either!

KIDS BIKES
Big selection from tricycles for the toddlers through 12”, 14”, 16”, 18”, 20”, and 24” juvenile models.
Like all our bikes they come fully assembled and ready to ride.
We also sell tag-a-long bikes, child (and dog!) trailers, baby seats and a good selection of helmets and clothing for our younger customers.
All part of our cradle to the grave policy!

ELECTRIC BIKES
The future of cycling? At Dorchester Cycles we stock Giant and Powabyke electric bikes.
www.powabyke.com
www.giant-bicycles.com

Giant's new “Suede” is going to be a massive seller as it has a nickel metal hydride battery NiMH and sells for just £599.Lots of info about it on their web site except how far it will go on a single charge, how long will the batteries last and how much a set of replacements will be! Wake up Giant!

Powabyke's range continues to develop but at the time of writing we have not had news of their response to Giant's entry into their ‘budget’ end of the market. We await developments in the meantime their 6 speed shopper with its very low ‘step-thru’ continues to sell well.

Other interesting links…

A bargain. Dorchester Cycles stock the bi-monthly magazine if you want to see one, or even buy one, before subscribing.

The Cycle Touring Club
www.ctc.org.uk
The name says it all – if you fancy going touring cycling then you must ‘belong’
Very good insurance scheme too.

Why Cycle?
www.whycycle.co.uk
Impartial advice for potential and new cyclists in the UK.
Big ‘magazine' site with loads of hints and tips.
Good gear calculator on there too.

And some of their rides are 600 kilometers. Yes 600!
Thousands of rides throughout Europe including several local to us here in Dorset.
